Growing up, I remember how my parents and society would instill into my head that those who did drugs and other under-the-influence shit were bad people; that being around anybody like that is dangerous and bad for you. Seeing as how all the “trouble-maker” looking people tend to do drugs, what else could I believe? So I basically kept this state of mind about anyone who did drugs. That if they happened to be under the influence, they were automatically “bad” people.

However, during the last year or so, I got to get to know some people who were clearly knowledgeable about drugs and what not and how they seemed to party every weekend or something. What’s interesting is that they completely contrasted my stereotypical image of a person who’s under the influence. In fact, they were some of the smartest people that I knew.

This also includes some of the people that I met and got to know on Tumblr as well! It’s just amazing how some people who may be viewed as “bad”, are capable of inspiring the minds of others. Hell, even I got inspired by a post or two by some of these people.

I’ve learned that just because someone has bad habits, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re a bad person.
